Ceramic Tile

Ceramic floor tile is created from clay. The clay is baked at extremely high temperatures, creating a hard and durable surface. The finish on ceramic floor tile can vary. It can be finished with a glaze of liquid glass or left untreated for a more natural look.

Ceramic tile floors are very low maintenance. The finished floor retains almost no dirt and clean up is as simple as a damp cloth or mop and clean water.

The tile is naturally fire resistant. In fact, ceramic floor tile can actually help to maintain the structure of a home during a fire.

Through a process called monocottura, the tile is fired and glazed simultaneously, cutting down on the time of production. This new process has also allowed for a denser and more durable tile.
